An All-Inclusive Vacation for Southeast MA and RI UUs
Running the same week as the LRE Conference on Star Island is Building Bridges, an all-inclusive vacation that offers UUs from Southeast MA and RI a chance to build intentional relationships, connections, and a wider community. You will have the choice of registering for a 3-night or the 7-night vacation.
The beginning half of the week will include morning programming designed to help UUs from the neighboring areas get to know each other and form connections. The end half of the week will offer the freedom to explore those new connections outside of the morning programming setting.
That could be a group of new friends taking a hike around the island or doing some fishing; or maybe spending the morning in rocking chairs on the front porch chatting is more your speed. Or perhaps there are some “doers” who have made some connections and want to plan a joint activity for their churches! Anything is possible when people are building bridges with one another.
Our morning programming for adults will focus on articulating our shared Unitarian Universalist faith. At times, many of us struggle to describe our religion adequately to ourselves and to other people. This program will help build bridges of understanding about who we are and where we stand within our faith. Join us as the Ministers and Directors of Religious Education from Southeast MA and RI lead this program to help us explore our history, theology, shared relationships and what is means to be part of the UU faith.

This vacation truly has something for everyone! While somethings are scheduled, such as morning workshops and meals the rest of the time you are free to do as much or as little as you like. Our Things to Do page is a great place to see just a few of ways to spend your time on the island.
